Are you are looking for an adventurous trip with a Purpose or want a Gap Year or Career Break that is more than just time off for fun?
If you want to make a Difference in some of South Africa’s most important Conservation Areas - and in Community Projects
Then our 'Volunteers' African-Experience trips are for YOU!

Adventurous people between the ages of 18 and 40 are invited to volunteer for the African Experience  programs. Focus-South Africa is an organization established for the sole purpose of recruiting, placing and managing volunteer workers at a selected number of community and conservation  projects that desperately need volunteer assistance in order to ensure their ongoing existence and success.

Your participation in these programs provides a significant contribution to local communities, environment and wildlife in the province of Kwa-Zulu Natal.

All our employees are South African and their efforts in creating sustainable development of their communities and environment is inspired even more by your voluntary contribution. Your interaction with the local community creates a bond that leaves you feeling like a member of the community and not a visitor. Our programs combine Community work and Wildlife Conservation in a mutually beneficial way.

In short, our commitment to local people and the environment is not a by-product of our programs but core to everything we do - we adhere to a strict ethical and eco-friendly code of practice and encourage everyone we work with to do the same.

We cannot provide help for every need in South Africa, but with your assistance we can hope to make a significant difference in the projects we have chosen to focus on.

Your accommodation, food and travel whilst you are with us, as well as tours, and much, much more are all included in the one-off fee you pay. There are no other hidden costs and what you see on this site is what you get.
